#3THE FUTURE IS HERE@1 -----------------------By M.S.C.
@5
Yes! From here at our secret headquarters ( my house ), we can safely
reveal that Amiga Technologies are to bring out a new Amega Amiga!
This new Super-Computer will be based around a PowerPc chip running
in conjunction with a 68060, these will both be running at a blistering
133MHz. It will come with a minimum of 16Mb of RAM and will be encased
in a kind of All-In-One system (like the Apple Mac©). This will come
with a monitor, hard-drive and a high-density disk drive as standard. A
SCSI-II interface controller will be installed as sold, and you will be
able to purchase a CD-ROM as an in-built option. (This will only be
something like £150 for a 4-Speed CD-ROM). You should (according to
AT's tech department) be able to run Windoze 3.11 and above, but #7More>>>

you will need some extra memory (Converse has just put forward a RADICAL
new plan. He has informed me that it would be a GOOD , read: shit, idea
to make new Amigas with hard drives as standard (good), BUT, without
a Disk Drive ! What an idea ! ( I think NOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTT !!!!!!!!! )))
(the idea was that by not including a disk drive, people would purchase
one to use older stuff, therefore everyone would have disk drives &
Hard-drives)
AAANNNNNYYYYYYWWWWWWAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!
Where was I ?
Oh yeah ! You should be able to run Windoze '95, but you will need
about 18 - 20 Megabytes of RAM ! This shouldn't be a problem however
due to the 72 pin SIMM sockets connected to the motherboard as #7More>>>

standard.
There will be about 4 - 6 Zorro III slots, with an upgraded memory
bus (much better than the original A4000/'040), 2 - 3 video slots and
about 5 PC-Xtended slots. You might be able to use MAC© stuff, but that's
probably only with a software program such as ShapeShifter. There will
be options to include better sound, better graphix and whatever, but I
stress, this will be OPTIONAL (sort of like the P.C, except better of
course). These modules (like in the A4000T) will cost about £100 - £250
each, depending on the module grade and type. There will be 3 grades of
each module, e.g. 12 - bit sound, 16 - 16 sound, and 24 - bit sound.
The New Workbench V4.0 will be a super upgrade version, which will
include stuff like a 3D calculator, MUI and the latest version of #7More>>>

Magic Workbench and CrossDos. It will have Comms software as standard
which will run any modem going. The days of not being able to
run your modems faster than 57,600 baud-rate through your serial port
(with it's 1K buffer) are over. This is due to the new and improved
(and all singing and dancing) Extended Serial port. This can zoom at
upto 115,200 baud-rate and can now automatically error correct with
it's 10K buffer. This means that with an auto-correct modem you would
have virtually no problems with hooking up (no Hugh Grant jokes) to
anywhere in the world.
Also available would be sort of Portable Desktop Machines ( like
the PAWS featured in this issue ). This will be about £1000 pound -
including 4 Meg RAM, 80Mb HDD and a colour LCD (DUDEZ) screen #7More>>>

(cheapo version probably) -.This will run basic Amiga Workbench V3.1 and
will have a SCSI port and dedicated comms port (As will the desktop Amigas)
so it can talk to other Amigas dead fast (like the AppleTalk port on the
MAC©).
Due to there being that dedicated Comms port, networking the New
Amega Amigas will be as easy as bending over and getting shagged by that
queer in the corner of the pub you always go to (Molgrat). No, honestly
all you need to buy is a special cable (About 50 quid) from AT and
plug it in. Run Envoy (Networking program - Excellent) and you're off.
With all the new hardware and software included in this machine
you would expect a high price, well you'd be absolutely right. The
New Amega Amiga will cost about £3,500 for the high-end #7More>>>

Workstation with 32 Meg Ram, 1.0 Gigabyte HDD, a 17-inch Monitor, 1.76Mb
FDD, Workbench 4, and a plex ( 6 ) speed CD-ROM.
The low-end Amiga will cost about £2,500 and will only have 16Mb RAM,
540Mb HDD, one 1.76 Mb FDD, a 15-inch monitor and a 2-double speed CD-ROM.
@4 Now, I know that with my previous track-record you probably don't
believe the above.........errmmmm.......eerrrrmmmmmm......well you'd be
very...very....very....very...very...very....very...very...wrong.
NO! All the above is complete shit and if you believed any of it you're
about as clever as those soft bastards who bought a PC last year thinking
that it would still be up-to-date now. HHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA HHHHHHAAAAAAA!
Well, actually, the above is the sort of thing that I would like #7More>>>
@4
to be writing about next year. It's not completely impossible, just about
as likely as San Marino winning the next World Cup ( read: impossible ).
GGGGGGOOOOOOOOooooooooooodddddbbbbyyyyyyyeeeeEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello!!!!!!!!!
Goodbye!
